FROM ROZA EKOS. Silver prices rose 178 yesterday for both deliveries, the quotations being 20.3/8 for Ready and 20. Silver advices 5/8 for Forward. reported Bears as having covered to a small extent. The
market
American Bilver was quoted at 34.3/4 for Spot.
The London New York cross- rate was quoted at 402 1/2, New York/London was quoted at 5/8.
CHICAGO WHEAT: Early easiness, due to lower foreign cables and scattered hedge-selling. met with good class buying. Private estimates place the Winter wheat crop at 435,000,000 to 450,000,000 bushels. This figures was slightly better than expected.

NEW YORK COTTON: Prices. firmed in sympathy with stocks. Trading house were absorbing contracts, with renewed Trade in- erests in near delivery. Washington reports indicate that an ex- port subsidy programme was under serious consideration and would. possibly be mandatory within this week. Textiles were active.
