AT UNIVERSITY

Eliot Defeat May Hall In Tourney Key Match

“THRILLED SPECTATORS WITNESSED LAST EVENING THE KEY MATCH OF THE HONGKONG UNIVERSITY INTER-HOSTEL BAS- KETBALL TOURNAMENT for 1940, when Eliot Hall defeated May Hall by 40-21, after a magnificently fought game at the University Gym- nasium.

Strong favourites for the title, both Halls started the first half- nervously. For six minutes there was no scoring, until May's right wing. O. C. Lew, drew Arst blood on a successful foul shot.
