After ruling steady, the market closed dull. NEW YORK COTTON: Dragging "legislation, foreign selling, the weakness of Sterling and the failure of the renewal of textile de- mand were all discouraging factors. There was, however, a late support by the Trade which steadied prices at the decline, Con- tinued mill curtailment is reported.

NEW YORK RUBBER: There was some factory buying, Dealers and foreign interests, however, were selling intermittently. Uncer- tainty with regard to the Sterling exchange was an adverse factor.
