At the Criminal Sessions yesterday, before the Chief Justice. Sir Atholl MacGregor, four men were convicted and sentenced to terms of impri- sonment with hard labour and 12 strokes of the cane each on being found guilty on a charge of robbery by two or more. Cheung and Pang Kau, who were additionally charged with possession of a revolver and five rounds of ammunition, pleaded guilty and were sentenced to four years' imprisonment while the other two, on being found guilty after trial were sentenced to three years' hard labour.

The funeral services of the late Mr. John Herbert Roberts, and the late Mr. George Nechaeff, both of the BAT., who lost their lives in a tragic motor accident of the Wanchal praya on Saturday, took place at the Colonial Cemetery Chapel yesterday.
