LARGE ATTENDANCE AT FUNERAL OF MR. JOHN DAVID HUMPHREYS

The funeral took place at the Colonial Cemetery yesterday of Mr. John David- Humphreys, who died at the War Memorial Hospital early yesterday morning. The late Mr. Humphreys, who WAS 47 years of ago, was the head of the firm bearing his

name.

Deceased was well-known in the Colony and was a popular sportsman, having represented Hongkong in Interport Cricket In 1926.

He is survived by his father, mak, Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Landale, Mr. Henry, Humphreys, now resid- Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Butlin, Mr. and ing in Victoria, B.C., and two

sisters.

A large gathering of friends was present at the funeral. The Rev. A. F. Rose officiated.
