The holders must have been very surprised, but more sürprised, I think, "were the C.C.C. players, who got the reputedly strong Recreio bat-railplane has proved successful in ting side out for only 70 runs.

Miss Chan Wan-sheung, well- known Chinese movie actress, to- day denied a Japanese recort that she had sung a song called "Wel- come to Wang Ching-wel" com- posed by Jen Kwang and also had it made into gramophone records recently in Shanghai.
She said that aside from the theme songs in her pictures, “Hwa Mo Lan," "Angel" and "Queen for One. Night" which she had made into gramophone records for the Pathe Records and Phonographs, she had not had any other phone- graphic recording.
Miss Chan added that she had never known or heard of Jen Kwang' who was alleged to be the composer of the song.
