TEACHER TESTIFIES
Mr. S. P. Wong, teacher of St. Paul's College, sald that, some time after 4 p.m. he was driving along Bonham `· Road when he came across the scene of the ac- cident. He saw the defendant and asked him whether he needed help. Defendant did not reply. Witness asked him whether the car was his and defendant did not answer. Witness repeated the question and Parkinson answered "Why?" Witness further said. that the defendant's breath smelt of alcohol.
Detective Ip Chi told the Court of accompanying the defendant to the police station. The defendant was not steady in his walking and
smelt of alcohol.
Formal evidence was given by Sergeant F. Nolan and Trafie Sergeant F. Appleton who took
consumption of alcohol. But in this case, he did not find signs of "xcessive alcohol.

On Sunday
Seven cases of small-pox (two from Victoria, four from Kowloon and one from Aberdeen and Rural Hongkong) were notined to the Health Department on Sunday, in addition to twenty-four cases of tuberculosis, three cases each of diphtheria, chicken-pox and dysentery, two cases of enteric fever and one case each of cere- bro-spinal fever and typhus fever: (Imported).
