LONDON, Jan, 24 (Reuter) While the British Gov- ernment maintains the view that there was nothing illegal or unusual in the action of the British cruiser which took off twenty-one Germans from the Asama Maru, Japanese papers are writing up matter as though Japan's honour had been compromised, reports reaching here state.
; The Japanese Cabinet met yesterday and endorsed the action of the. Foreign Office in protesting to the British Ambassador, Sir Robert Craigie. Later, a Foreign Office official had a long conversation with the Councillor of the British Embassy.
