Silver prices dropped 1/4 yester- terday for both deliveries, the quotations remaining at 22 for both Ready and Forward, Silver advices reported Speculators as having sold and India as having bought. The market was steady but quiet. American Silver was quoted at 34.3/4 for Spot.

The London-New York cross-rate was quoted at 402.1/2. New York- London was quoted at 396.1/4

NEW YORK RUBBER: Consumption in the United States for around 140.000 tons. the first quarter of the year is estimated at There was some speculative liquidation while dealer offerings were limited at the decline.

CHICAGO WHEAT: The bearish interpretation of the Canadian crop estimate was responsible for the early easiness today. While Trade and small domestic flour demand improved the technical posi- tion of the market.
