13 MURDER TRIALS AT SUPREME COURT DURING LAST YEAR

WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE MONTHS OF FEBRUARY, MAY, JUNE, JULY AND DEÇEMBER, murder trials, have figured on the Criminal Sessions monthly calendar at the Supreme Court this year. April was an exceptional month with three trials oc- cupying eight days in all, four of which were taken up by the trial of a Chinese waiter for the murder of a Japanese in a Wanchai restaurant. The case attracted unusual public interest and the defence was conducted by Mr. H.G. Sheldon, K.C.
