FROM ROZA BROS. Suver prices dropped 13/16 yes- terday for both deliverles, the quotations being 22.1/2 for Ready and 22.11/18 for Forward. Silver advices reported India as having sold. The market was steady with very poor support. American 8:1- ver was quoted at 34.3/4 tor Spot.
The London-New York cross- rate was quoted at 402. New York- London was quoted at 394.7/8.

Opened with indications easiness but subsequently steadied up slightly.

Was on offer at 1/2.29/32 with buyers at 1/2,15/16. Business was done at 1/2.29/32 December, Janu- ary and also February and subse- quently at 1/2.15/16 for December, At lunch time there were sellers at 1/2.29/32 January and 1/27/8 February/March, buyers at 1/2 31/32 Cash and 1/215/16 January.

Shanghai Market Sterling opened with sellers for Spot at 4.3/4 and US. Dollars at 7.13/16. At the close sellers were quoted at 4.51/64 for Spot and Dollars at 7.7/8 for Spot,
Afternoon Market market was afternoon, the tone was steady.
The market was quietly steady. NEW YORK COTTON: There was some moderate hedging and quidation. Trade demand was smaller and outside interest WAS less aggressive. Spots were active but prices held Arm, Textiles were in good demand at under market prices but the mills are hold- lag to the recent prices levels.
NEW YORK RUBBER: Persistent December liquidation met with poor support. The firmness of the London and the primary markets was ignored...
CHICAGO WHEAT: Reported good" flour business was offset by reports of further precipitation in the drought sections. The Arm ness of the Canadian maritets was ignored here.
CHICAGO CORN: There are reports of cold weather in the main domestic belt. Good export demand had a stimulating effect.
