THE ROYAL ARTILLERY, CUP POLO OPENED YESTERDAY AT BOUNDARY ROAD WHEN TWO MATCHES WERE PLAYED.--
In the first game the Stoogea (starting plus two jomis) defeat- ed the March Hares by the odd goal in nge in a good, inter- esting game in which Penfold was outstanding for the Stooges and Marshall and Forrester for the March Hares.
With hard, well-placed shots, Penfold eagly defeated the opposing defence and was responsible for several of the goals scored by, the Stooges while excellent combination and fast rid- ing, especially on the part of Forrester, prevented the March Haras from a worse defest.

RACING INTERESTS
TO BE REDUCED
The Aga Khan, one of the largest owners and breeders of racehorses the world, has decided to reduce very considerably his racing interests.
Although he did not start racing
in England until 1921, he has won the Derby three times. He is the only living man to have done so and to have headed the list of win- ning owners on seven occasions.
His first Derby winner was Blenheim in 1930. Blenheim was afterwards 'sold to 1.0 American syndicate for rather less than £50,000..
1934, during which his horses won The Aga Khan's best year, was
£84.898 in stakes. On the other six occasions upon which he headed the winning owners' list, the total
