SCORES 56 AT K.C.C.: GOVERNOR AS UMPIRE

Hongkong Cricket Club beat Kowloon Cricket Club by 60 runs in the “Over 45′′ match played at Cox's Path yesterday. A feature of the aftemoon's oricket was the superiority of data- en over bowlers, no fewer than five of the former retiring un- defeated with scores of more than 25.

Mr. Justice R. E Lindsell played ; a Captain's innings for K.CO., re- tiring after a contribution of 56 runs that included only eight boundaries. The best bowling feat of the match was Professor F.-A. Redmond's three wickets for five

His Excellency the Governor, ar Geoffry Northcote, did not play. but, instead, officiated as umpire. J. P. Robinson was the other um-) pire, and Frank Goodwin, the KC.C.1st XI captam, was scorer.

Another feature of the.. match

was the excellent wicket-keeping. S. Jex, the former R.C.C. and "In-¡ terport wicket-keeper, did not les through a single bye, while the' a.C.C. keeper, Brig. McLeod, let two byes.
