Recreio Batsmen All Get Runs To Defeat H.K.C.C.
BY "E. U. ROPES”
I was rather surprised that so many of the Recreio batsmen got going against the Cricket Club on the Chater Road ground on Saturday. The Club attack was steady, if not brilliant, to begin with but after a couple of the Gosano clan got going Albert Rodrigues came in for a hard hit 46 not out and the innings was eventually declared closed with the score at 192 for 6.
G. N. Gosano played some very pretty shots in his in- nings of 50 odd runs, some of his drives, being particularly well-timed efforts. He also brought off a couple of first class cuts and this innings of his at the local Headquarters should give him any amount of conâdence-not that he is lacking in that as it is!

OF A FOOTBALL CAPTAIN?
Now that the captains and the kings (of football have arrived, it might be as well to take a look at a few of the cap- tains-and inquire into the reasons for them being just what they are, writes à Home correspondent.
What are the qualities that make a fellow the obvious cap- tain of a football team? The question arises with the suggestion that Eddie Hangood. England and Arsenal, is nearing the end of his captaincy days.
