After ruling quiet, the market eased, owing to first hand offers together with stop-loss selling.
COTTON: The scarcity of Spot offerings following early liquida- tion indicates a favourable technical position. There was a fair de- mand from the Trade and on short-covering. The farmers' referen- dum on the 1940 crop which is due on December 9 is expected to 149 1/2 receive the majority and is likely to cause a further upturn in prices. RUBBER: Demand was provided by Commission-Houses and factories, while dealers sold. Liquidation is believed to have run its | course.
