COMMODITY MARKET REVIEW

The market was quiet but steady,

COTTON; Prices advanced easily on foreign and domestic Trade buying. Hedging and realizing was offset by buying and covering. Bombay interests were reported to be the largest buyers. cloth sales for the past two weeks were encouraging.

RUBBER: The Trade was the principal buyer. The market technically has improved, and we believe that liquidation has about run its course.

WHEAT: The undertone of the market was distinctly Arm. A 48 18 feature was the strength of the December position, while the strength of Cash wheat was a continued substaining influence. Selling prest sure was not great. There was no change in the unfavourable crop news.

FROM ROZA BROS. Silver prices rose 1/8 yesterday for both deliveries, the quotations Being 23.1/2 for Ready and. 23.5/8 for Forward. Silver advices re- ported India as having bought to a small extent. The market was American Silver steady but quiet, was quoted at 34.3/4 for Spót.

The London/New York cross-rate was quoted at 402. New York, London was quoted at 388.3/4.
