Constructed by the Taikoo Dockyard & Engineering Co. of Hongkong Ltd., to the order and special requirements of the Government of Fil as an Administrative vessel for patrol duties. between the Islands of Fiji and the British Islands in the Western Pacific, the new Royal Colonial Ship Viti, with a displacement of approximately 1,000 tons and a speed of 12 knots, was launched at the Talkoo Dockyard yesterday evening.
