FROM BOZA BROS.

Silver prices dropped yesterday

to the extent of 3/18 for Ready and 1/4 for Forward, the quota- tions being 23.5/16 for both deli- veries. Sliver advices reported the market as being qufet with very: poor support. The market closed with small buyers at the quoted rate. American Silver was quoted at 34.3/4 for Spot.

The London/New York cross-rate was quoted at 402. New Tork! London was qupted 21 393.5/8.

COTTON: Spots were quiet today. Early profit-taking and real-

foreign izing was well absorbed by the consistent

and domestic trade 'demand, September and October consumption reached an all- time record high for those two months and it is generally expected that November and December consumption will reach all-time peaks. RUBRER The market today was quiet and business largely consisted of dealer hedging against shipment. Heavy offerings for 1940 shipments continue to be a restraining factor.
