ALL-DAY GAME ON THE CHATER ROAD GROUND
Club And Civil Service Match Should Finish Closely
By E. U. Ropes"
In spite of the fact that many regular cricketers are away with the Volunteers at Camp, a full programme of matches has been arranged for today including an all-day game on the Chater Road ground between the Cricket Club and Civil Service.
This match ought to be very interesting as both teams will be pretty well at full strength. Alec Pearce will be leading the Club and it is interesting to note that amongst those who will be playing for him is T. E. Pearce, hero of many a battle on this ground.
J. H. For will be playing too, and for Madar was actually jumping as he is about the best wicket-out and hitting 'em The Madar keeper in the Colony today this at the nets is very different to the ought to stiffen the Club attack one we see out in the middle and considerably for one cannot take if only he will play the same care any liberties with Fax behind the free type, of cricket always I feel sticks.
stire his team will benefit very con- siderably.

The Civil Service, as far as I can ascertain, will have all their re- gular players in action Fortesque will be keeping and this ought to give Colledge, their regular stum- per. a chance with the ball-and "Bill" can send down a good un when he is in form.

With many scftballers at Volunteer Camp, only three Men's League matches will be payed tomorrow, but four games in the opening round of the Ladies', competition will swell the the day's programme.
The Men's fixtures on the C. B.
