EXCELLENT FORM DISPLAYED BY TEAM D IN STUBBS CUP POLO COMPETITION B.W.O.F. BENEFITS

Likely Winner Of This

Year's Trophy

FAST AND THRILLING

GAME YESTERDAY

Although Team B is in the leading position to date in the Stubbs Cup Polo Competition, with a total of five points and a finished schedule of play, and Teams A and D are second, each with four points and two more games in hand, after the display given by Team D yesterday, when they defeated Team E it seems quite safe to venture a forecast in favour of Team D win- ning the Cup this year.

Teams E and C are completely out of the running, and if any team is going to upset the present calculations; It will be Team A. With Capt

AT KING'S PARK

GOSANO FAMILY MIGHT PROVE TOO

STRONG FOR INDIANS

(By "E. U. Ropes"}

Some excellent cricket should be seen at King's Park this afternoon when Club de Recreio entertains the In- dian Recreation Club in a senior division encounter. As far as I have been able to ascertain, both sides will be very nearly at full strength, but A. R. Kitchell, who has been making so many runs for the Indians thus far, is a doubtful starter. M. el Arculli, however, is coming into the side again and should strengthen the bowling.

The game was originally to give them a good run for their announced to take place at money. Sookunpoo, but it has now been changed over to King's Park, thus giving the League holders the advantage of playing on their own ground. That would mean, however, that when they play off their League fixture the Indians will have the home ground advantage,

If the present programme goes according to plan, the Anal games will be played off next Wednesday, when the Cup will be formally presented to the whining team.

YESTERDAY'S GAME = Yesterday's game between Team. D (White) and Team E (Red) was оде of the fastest and most thrilling games, seen for some two weeks, and only in the last did the play slacken in speed.

"Hit hard and hit often" seemed to be the slogan of the players, however, and the spectators' interest was main- tained to the end when the " final bell went with the Whites (Team D) the winners by one goal in a total of seven)

An unfortunate feature of the game, however, was the frequent crossing by Whites, for which the Reds were given as many as six
