Shanghai,, Oct. 30 (Reuter). Firm conditions are prevailing in the local Exchange Market this morning. The open market rates, after having been initially listed at 5-3/32 for Sterling and 8-15/32 for US Dollars, continued to harden and are now quoted at 5- 9/32 and 8-13/15 for cash.
The rise has been influenced by general selling and some outport selling orders. The big banks have been buying, but only on a rising
scale.
