At a meeting of the Finance Committee of the Legis- lative Council to be held to-morrow afternoon, immediate- ly after the ordinary meeting of the Council, Supplemen- tary. Votes totalling $579,960 will come up for considera-

Since the outbreak of war in Europe the expenses in connexion with the Hongkong Volunteer Defence Corps and the Hongkong Naval Volunteer Force have increased to such an extent that several votes under the head of Defence are requested.
