A FEATURE OF THE DAY was the failure of three well-fancied candidates King Kong unseated its rider, Mr. S. L. Sung. Happy Landings, falled to start and took no part in the race. Lillibur, another well-backed horse; finished tbarth in a field of six starters.

THE FIRST THREE RACES were won by Mr. C. En- -carnacao, who with one second and one third place was the champion jockey of the afternoon, Mr. V. V. Needs being second with two wins and a third while the owners list was headed by Mr. Eu Tong-sen with three wins and a second.
