THE HONGKONG POLO SEASON OPENED IN REAL EARNEST YESTERDAY when the first game in the Stubbs Cup Competition, the first tournament of the year, was played on the Hongkong Polo Club ground in Boundary Road.
Two games were to have been decided yesterday. Team A was to have met Team B, and Team C to have met Team D. Owing to the inability of one of the Team C players to turn out, however, the latter match was post- poned to Oct. 27, the last day of the competition.
Players appeared to be up five to four in favour of the Whites to their usual form in the (Team B), four chukkers played yester~!
