The market was steady.
COTTON:" There was some substantial' Suying and sentiment has improved. "October liquidation is apparently completed, and hedging was only moderate. The mills are reported to be nervous due to the frm attitude of producers.
RUBBER: The market to-day was quiet and business largely consisted of dealer hedging against shipment.
WHEAT: The sharp upturn in the foreign markets was mainly responsible for the strength here. There was some profit-taking but” very little pressure. One reliable trade resource states that the Winter wheat subsoil is still deficient. The continued strength of the cash market is also a substaining influence,
HIDES: Packers are offering moderately at higher level of prices, while tanners are adopting a waiting attitude.
