The market was easier and uncertain. ́.

COTTON: There was hedging and general realizing news of persistent peace efforts. Trade" buying was" not large enough to absorb, offering except on declines. Reports of Cotton - goods sales. arc favourable. Leading Trade sources believe that purchases at around 8 cents level for May option will entail little risk, with good pront possibilities for patient holders.

RUBBER: The market was heavy, being largely the reflection of the easiness of the London market, and the news that the Interna- tional Rubber Regulation Committee has fixed the revised' quots at 75 per cent. for the fourth quarter of the year. Dealers were the principal sellers. There was a little support on dips but buying was not Impressive.

WHEAT: There has been a readjustment, to the normal of the supply and demand status, with sentiment tending to be bearish, but seiling was partially restrained on the uncertainty with regard to European developments, In spite of the persistent, peace moves,

HIDES: Favourable reports of Shoe and Leather trades falled to affect the market in view of the absence of demand from tanners, Packers were offering freely. The seasonal increase in supplies is still a dominating, factor.
