NEW YORK, Sept. 8 (Reuter)- On the Foreign Exchange sterling continued to move within the Bank of England's limits. There was, however, very little trading.

The franc sharply declined on a report from Paris that the franc was being offered against the pur- chase of sterling.

GOLD POSITION

It is reported that foreign ex- change dealers have recognized the strong gold position of Britain and France and are not anticipating any collapse.
