The market was easy throughout the day, it being very dificult to sell forward rubber ever at sacrifice rates, due to the sensational · political news received early in the morning.

After being steady in the early session, prices firmed up on good trade buying and better foreign demand, apparently under the im- petus of somewhat more hopeful" turn" of events abroad, as the $162
