The market opened 1/16 of a cent higher for all deliveries as compared with Wednesday's closing quotations,

Singaporë was quiet but steady throughout the day, with very little interest being displayed.

The Singapore Rubber trade is bullish as they feel that World Production under the present quota will be approximately 81,000 tons, and is consumption estimates are correct stocks will continue to decline throughout this year,

The market was dull and quiet induenced by the weakness on Wall Street. Liquidation was easily absorbed en better cables from abroad. A further talk of higher mill wages, such as agitation to increase the minimum wage from its present level of 25 cents an hour to 30 or 32 cents an hour, should give a considerable impetus to gray-goods sales. "Antomatically increased, wages should be re- flected in higher prices for goods. Therefore a large anticipatory buying may be forthcoming before higher wage are instituted.

After opening steady, prices declined on switching, unencourag- ing cables from London and Singapore zrid liquidation.
