TO - MORROW
Painted against the stark | Dack=" ground of a big city and replete with fresh dramatic turns which make it a great original amongst the more familiar types of anti- gangland Alms, Columbia's "I Am the Law" opens to-morrow at the Majestic Theatre, with Edward G. Robinson convincingly starred ai its dynamic, gang-busting, nghting prosecutor.

Robinson's performance «is perb; better if that be possible -than his work in many previous stellar roles. Otto Kruger, who never falls to give smoothly artis- tic characterizations, is peerless Be the glove-smooth, czar of the racketeers.
The story, capably directed by Alexander Hall from a clever screenplay by Jo Swerling. . com- rerns the idealistic aim of a law professor to rid the city of mur- dercus gangsters.
A veritable orgy of crime ensues as a result of the campaign and this is only halted when Robin- son enlists modern science, as re- presented by motion pictures on his side. The splendid use to which the professor puts movies, by the way, is one of the usual plot angles of the production.
