LENGTHY CROSS-EXAMINATION BY COUNSEL FOR THE CROWN FEATURED THE RESUMPTION OF THE TRIAL at the Criminal Sessions yesterday of Sub-Inspector Joseph Herbert Edward Edwards, of the Hongkong Police Force, charged with demanding money with menaces from Lan Hel-yuk, No. 1'carpen- ter of the Kowloon Docks and a kai-fong of the Hung- „ home district.
