The market ruled dull and quiet during the morning session owing to the Rubber Exchanges in London and New York having" been closed on Saturday last. Activity by dealers and speculators was at a low ebb, but some fair enquiries for "actuals" by consuming centres were in.. evidence.
During the afternoon, however, steadier conditions were pre- valent due to some enquiries for trade account, which, coming on a narrow market, caused pries to advance by 1/16 to 1/8 cent for all deliveries. Closing tone was quietly steady..
