GENERAL

British Money Meets- China-German Deal

The arms deal between Germany and China was com - pleted at Chungking on June 30 and will probably absorb the firat British credits to China.

Some 150 tons of wolfram ore have arrived at Hongkong from London en route for Japan, and 36,000 tons of bauxite ore from Indo-China and India. unsaleable in Europe on ac- count of its inferior quality, has arrived through European agents for Japan.

The Americans recently shipped through Rangoon aero- plane parts to be assembled at Chinese aerodrome just over the Burma border. There is tremendous business in Chinese ores with Japan because there are no other customers, and the business is mostly conducted through agents.
