CHUNGKING, July 14 (Central)-Under the cap- able guidance of Mme. Chiang Kai-shek the Women's Directing Committee of the, National Association for the Promotion of the New Life Movement is playing. the leading role in the mobilisation of Chinese women for wartime work.
No fewer than 4,000 women are working directly under the Committee, mobilising, training and educat- ing women, taking care of war orphans, engaging in the productive enterprises, giving first-aid and so on.
A most praiseworthy plecer of work of the Committee was the mass migration of some 20,000 women factory workers to the interior before the fall of the Wuhan tri-cities. These women workers now working in different new fac-
