CZECH DOCTORS FOR BRITAIN

IJ

Fifty Czech doctors are to be Permitted to study in Britain with a view to obtaining the qualifica- tions to practise there.

The minimum period of study before they may be placed on the British medical register is three years. Until they are on the re- gister they cannot practise.

This is the arrangement which has been made between the Home Orice and the British Medical As- sociation. Their permit to stay in for the period of study only, and their residence here depends on their qualifying.

It is possible that a few others may be allowed to come to Britain. ior research and other special work in which they are qualified, but they will not be allowed to prac tase

Fifty Austrian doctors were admitted last year on the same principle of studying for the Bri- tish degree.
