A specialist navigating ofteer is re- quired by the King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions to provide himeelf with a sextant. In a Feet Order approval is given to a grant within a maximum of £25 to such an officer, on first appointment to a ship as (N) officer, in respect of the pur- chase of a sextant
