4 MEN KILLED BY SURGEON IN MERCY

A letter from a "distinguisbed surgeon," which described how an overdose of morphia was given to four hopelessly injured men to put them out of their agony, was read by Sir James Purves-Stewart, consulting 'physician to Westminster Hospital, at` a London debate' recently.

Sir James was stating the case for voluntary euthanasia (easy. death) which, he said, was "an act of mercy to a dying person who pleads for it."

The letter read by Sir. James said:
