The market opened 1/8 of a cent lower for all deliveries as com- pared with Friday's closing rates.

Quiet conditions, prevailed early in the morning, thus reflecting advices received from London and New York. Fair enquiries for "spot Rubber failed to inspire speculative interest due to continued political uncertainties, which seem to remain the dominating in...” fluence.

Later in the session, however, the market became. steady on trade-buying caused by overnight cable-reports on a substantial in- crease in American Motorcar-production for the week ending June 16. This fact appears to furnish another indication for gradually improving business-prospects in U.S.A.

Prices registered slight advance of 1/8 cent for all deliveries, the market closing with a quietly steady undertone.

FROM ROZA BROS Silver prices dropped yesterday to the extent of 1/8 for Ready and 3/18 for Forward, the quotations being 19.3/4 and 19.7/16 res- pectively. Silver advices reported speculators as having operated Indla bought to a both ways. small extent. The market closed steady with buyers at the quoted rate, sellers bid 1/16 over. Ameri- can Silver was quoted at 42 3/4 for Spot."

The London/New York cross-rate was quoted at 468.15. New York/ London was quoted at 465.3/18.
