BIG REDUCTION IN WAR RISK SHIPPING PREMIUMS

Big redactions in war-risk for shipping, were announced on May 8, the principal alteration being a lowering of the addî- tional premium for voyages through the Mediterranean or Balls by nearly one-half, front 20s, percent to 12a 6d, per cent.

The new rates came into force ! on May, 9. They have been decided on by the Institute of London Underwriters and it is indicated they are for risks outside the war-risks cargo pool with which the Government is co-operating.
