The market opened with prices unchanged for all deliveries as compared with Saturday's closing rates.

Throughout the day the market ruled dull sand featureless. awaiting the quota-announcement.

Whilst demand by consuming centres was only moderate, trade and speculative interest was practically non-existent. The general opinion prevails that the market might show a rising tendency. unless the increase in quota will exceed 6 per cent. It would, however, appear that the belief in a 60 per cent, release amongst Rubber brakers is gaining ground. These uncertainties will be re- moved by to-morrow's meeting of the LRR, Committee, but mean- while speculative interest is at an absolute standstill.

The market opened with a good tone and higher initial prices and which quickly receded as the market reacted on liquidation some speculative selling. The opening prices were the highest re- corded for the day. The market is waiting for some definite lead from Washington.

Duliness still prevailed in this market. It was another repeti- tion of the pre-quota affair.
