SILUKWAN, KWANGTUNG, May 10 (Central)-Headed by Gen. LI Hon-wan, Governor of Kwangtung, the Kwaagtung Reller Commission is engaged, la 511 manifold pro-{ zramme of fellet. The budget of the Commissieu has been fixed at approximately $17,000,000. To meet the urgent need of medical supplies the Commission has sent delegates to Hongkong to purchase medicine, Rescue corps dispatched by the Commission. are working in Tsing- yuan, Koyul, Yuntow and cther districts in the war zone. They have rescued large numbers ut wo men and children at great risk.
The war has swept many machine-workers out of employ- ment. A registration is being held under the auspices of the Commis- sion So far 498 have registered. The Commission has petitioned the Central Government to relieve them
BOATMEN'S PLIGHT
As a result of hostilities along the West River, many boatmen are in a bad ght. Besides reller funds from the Commission, a monthly appropriation of $1,000 's made from the surplus of the West River Shipping Co-operative, Re- fugee camps and stations have meanwhile been established in various parts of the province. Esta- bishment of schools for refugee children in Hongkong and Macao is being planned.

The Kwangtung Provincial Re- ller Association held a meeting at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce yesterday. Madame Ng Kwok- fong, of the Association, who ar- rived in the Colony a few days ago, spoke of the war sufferers. Dur- ing the meeting, means for rellef were discussed.
