HEAVY APRIL SESSIONS

Although the total of 19 cases.. on the April list may not be the highest number of cases at the Criminal Sessions in any one month, the fact that, in the absence of the Pulsne Judge, Mr. Justice R. On Tuesday last, no less than 16 cases were heard by the Chief Justice. Two inurder cases were heard оп other days.

Sentence of death was passed, on two men in what was known as the Yaumati Gang Murder, and on another yester- day in the Border Murder Trial
