Market dull.
The market opened 1/3 of a cent lower for all deliveries a compared with Friday's closing quotation.
Early in the morning the market was nominal and uncertain, being entirely dominated by the unsettled European" political situa- tion. Fair enquiries for "actuals" by consuming countries failed to stimulate trade and speculative buying Interest in futures.
Later in the session, however, the low level of prices attracted speculative buying which resulted in a gradual advance of 1/4 dent for all deliveries, the market closing with a fairly steady undertone.
