The market opened with prices unchanged for all deliveries as compared with Saturday's closing rates.
Throughout the session the market ruled with a quiet, but steady undertone. There were fair enquiries for "spot" Rubber, but speculators were hesitant to enter into fresh commitments on any larger scale, preferring to await developments in London and New York.
However, during the last trading hour the market became very steady on fair general buying and short-covering resulting in a price advance of 1/8 cent for all deliveries.

The market" was fairly steady at the opening, but price changes
·were again extremely small Higher Liverpool cables helped local prices slightly. There was some trade and foreign buying. Later, the market turned dull and featureless. The undertone at the close was quietly steady. Traders are still awaiting Washington develop- ments" before entering into fresh commitments.
NEW YORK, BUBBER
Prices improved early in the session and the tone was steady. in sympathy with the firmness in London: The early gains, "how- ever, were partially reduced on the action of Wall Street near the close. Trading was featureless.
Prices declined in sympathy with overseas' markets. There was a lack of support, whilst exports are still very poor.
