The market opened 1/2 of a cent lower for all deliveries as compared with Wednesday's closing rates.

After a quiet opening the market ruled with an uncertain un- dertone, being dominated by the European political situation,

Later in the session the market became easier on speculative selling, prices gradually declining by. 1/4 cent for äll deliveries. It was very difficult to transact business due to scarcity of buyers.

While distant positions ruled relatively firm, nears weakened on lower Liverpool cables, combined with "spot" house and Southern hedge selling. The export subsidy' plan foreshadowed yesterday may be expected to be announced in a few days...according to the Washington Correspondent of the "Journal of Commerce."

NEW YORK RUBBER

Early in the session, the market declined owing to lack of de- mand and trading was very quiet. Later, values partially recovered to close well above the low levels for the day. The undertone, at the close, was steady.

CHICAGO WHEAT

Prices weakened in sympathy with Liverpool and Winnipeg. The decline in corn prices' further depressed the market.
