The market opened with prices unchanged for all deliveries as compared with Monday's closing rates,
Quiet and dull conditions prevalled "throughout the day. Fair enquiries for "spot” Rubber by principal consuming centres failed to stimulate speculative buying interest in futures. Consequently only a moderate volume of business was transacted.
Later in the session prices registered a slight decline of 1/8. cent for all deliveries due to some speculative selling, which mainly consisted of proft-taking. “Closing tone was quiet.
It was announced that preliminary shipments of Native and Estate Rubber from the Dutch East Indies during February amount- ed 25,412 tons, of which 965 tons were on account of 1938 by extra licences. This compares with 39.272 tona. for January of which ⠀⠀ 8,215 tons were on account of extra licences in 1938.
Exporters' stocks of Native Rubber at the end of February amounted to 13,977 tons as against 14,846 tons on Jan. 31, 1939.

At the opening." the market ruled from steady to firm, with prices advancing on better Liverpool cables, coupled with foreign buying. Later, however, values reacted on liquidation and scatter- ed selling. Trading, however, was quiet and price movements, after the initial advance, were limifted to a narrow range.
NEW YORK RUBBER
The opening was quiet and price movements were small. The tone, early in the session, waż firm in 'sympathy with the securities market. Later, values, reacted and closed at the low levels for the day. However, only a small quantity changed hands and trading was generally featureless.
CHICAGO WHEAT
The market was without "any special feature. The tone, how- ever, was steady on reported improvement in exports.
