A year ago the affairs of Mr. Mayo and Mrs. Tunstall became notorious, a Mr. Tunstall burgled the Hat where his wife and Mr. Mayo were living. He was COD- victed at the Old Bailey.

DESHABILLE MODELS

Deshabille modes do not, as theg once did, consist of silk and lace of the merely "pretty" variety; they are smart ih material and cut. The house coat, beauti'hilly tailored In exquisite fabrica, has made the dressing gown take after it in smartness, while night dresses often look like evening frocks and nake two-piece ensembles · ̈with their smart covering wraps.

White slipper satin, brocades and velvets in gorgeous green, reds and sapphire blues ma the smar boudoir wraps and coats; they are finished with buttons scarves and sushes like an evening redingote, and smart fastenings make them wholly unlike the old wrap-over styles.

The evening gown with contrast- ink skirt and corsage is shown by.

Hebert Piquet. One has a skirt in brick-red wool falling straight and tight over the hips. But cut fully into a short-pointed train at the back. This model is much favour.

New fashion freak is the glove, that covers only the thumb, leaving the other fingers bare-to be re- spectfully taken, bowed over the kissed. Those who have long neg- lected this dainty ceremonial, stüt adhered to by the "bien eleves." must not forget that one kisses the hand of a married lady only.
