The market opened 1/3 of a cent higher for all deliveries as com- pared with Friday's closing rates.
Throughout the session the market displayed a steady under- tone with a good demand for "spot" Rubber. Fair buying interest In futures for trade and speculative accounts was also in "evidence, which was induced by optimistic overnight reports received from London and New York,
It would appear that accumulation is indicated in view of the fact that the international political outlook is improving, whilst the statistical position of Rubber is strong, speculative holdings being practically negligible.

The market to-day was firm and moderately active, on the strength of securities. Later, prices further advanced, on foreign buying, assisted by the steadiness in Liverpool. The majority of clarification traders, however, still remain on side-lines, pending a of the proposals regarding the new-crop programme. The market closed at the highest for the day, with the undertone very steady.

The recent gains were extended to-day on the firmness in Wall Street. There was fresh buying by manufacturers Consumption prospects are regarded as hopeful and consumers are continuing to $15 display active interest.

CHICAGO WHEAT.
A quiet and slightly lower market at the opening. However, the rising trend in the principal commodities soon exerted a beneficial influence and prices recovered the early losses. At the close, the market was supported by short covering and some general buying.
