WHISKY GOES UP

THIS TIME!

The price of whisky rose „in Singapore recently by one dollar a ease, but it is not likely that this will make any diffe.ence to the previous price paid for a stength.

Exporters at home felt that in- sufficient retuan was coming from Malaya, and made auggestions which resulted in a meeting in Singapore of representatives of all but two of the brands of whisky sold in Singapore and Malaya.

This meeting decided that the price should be increased from $41 case to $43. This will mean that instead of paying 33.50 for a bottle of whisky you will now be called upon to pay $3.65.
