The market opened 1/8 of a cent lower for all deliveries as com- 1890-pared with Tuesday's closing quotations.

Early in the morning there was a better feeling to the market. thus reflecting conditions prevailing in London and New York. Al- though there were fair enquiries for "spot" Rubber by consuming centres, speculators were disinclined to enter into fresh commitments to any larger extent, preferring to adopt a waiting attitude.

Subsequently prices registered a slight decline of 1/8 cent for all forward deliveries on profit-taking, but a redeeming feature was the steadiness of "spot" Rubber prices which remained unchanged throughout the session.

Closing tone was quiet.

A quiet, but steady market. Prices throughout the day moved within a narrow range. There was some foreign and domestic buy- ing. The market is uncertain, with traders awaiting developments in connexion with the various plans regarding the release of Loan cotton. Some are inclined to the belief that there are no prospects $56.36 of immediate action.

The market was somewhat easler, us the result of selling by dealers. Towards the close, prices, however, rallied partially, but trading was light. Finally, the market again declined and prices closed slightly below their best for the day. "The weakness of the Guilder caused hesitancy among traders.

CHICAGO WHEAT

A firm market, though fluctuations were narrow. After a slight-

ly higher opening, prices further advanced on favourable advices trom Liverpool. Milling demand is encouraging.
